Shelly Jean John, Esq. - Family Law Attorney & Mediator

Shelly Jean John is an attorney, mediator, consultant and Coach for self-represented people in divorce and child custody situations.  She has practiced family law exclusively for the past 20 years, having obtained her Juris Doctor (law degree) from the University of San Francisco in 1998.

Attorney John is on the Board of Directors for the the East-West Family Law Council (EWFLC)  and the Collaborative Divorce Professionals of the Inland Empire (CDPIE).  She is a graduate of the 40-hour Mediation Course with master mediator and author Forrest “Woody” Mosten, and has studied his techniques in more than 80 hours of courses.  She is also a graduate of the 4-day Mediation Training with the Center for Dispute Resolution.  Attorney John is a certified Collaborative Law attorney with Interdisciplinary Collaborative Training with Sacramento Collaborative Practice Group and Collaborative Divorce Institute of Orange County.

Attorney John takes a holistic approach to serving her family law clients by zealously advocating for them while also emphasizing care for their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Do not be surprised to see Attorney John role up to court on her motorcycle or to find one of her 5 dogs serving as a mascot at her office.  Attorney John’s love of animals led her to be a founding member of the small dog and cat rescue, Pardon Me, Inc.
